Disney exec Jimmy Zasowski has been promoted to president of platform distribution for the Disney Entertainment and ESPN brands.

Brandon Shaw, former vice president of communications for Disney Entertainment Television, has joined communications firm Seven Letter as a partner and head of the firm's newly launched entertainment and media practice.

Several new shops and restaurants are under construction at the Downtown Disney District, including Earl of Sandwich, Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon, Pearl’s Roadside BBQ, Porto’s Bakery, and Bopo Go. The Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is also expected to reopen after being closed for several years.
