These gorgeous, sunny winter days are perfect for visiting Delicate Arch. The trail to Delicate Arch is 3 miles round trip and climbs 480 feet (it’s a steady uphill trail!). The opening beneath the arch is 46 feet high and 32 feet wide, making it the largest free-standing arch in the park. According to @archesnps, the term delicate to describe this arch first appeared in a 1934 article about the Arches National Monument Scientific Expedition, which stated the arch was “the most delicately chisel
