The writer, broadcaster and documentary maker Manchán Magan has died at the age of 55. In an interview with Brendan O’Connor on RTÉ Radio 1 on 13 September, Mr Magan confirmed he had terminal prostate cancer that had spread to multiple organs. “For some reason, I’m not scared.
