Palm kernel is the edible seed of the palm oil fruit. The fruit yields two distinct oils namely: palm oil derived from the outer parts of the fruit, and palm kernel oil derived from the kernel.Palm kernel oil is extracted from palm fruit. It’s very dark (hence its name) and distinguishes itself with a unique strong taste and smell. It is the roasted oil from the seed that is widely known as black palm kernel oil. In some part of West Africa, the seed is eaten raw or with other staple food. Black
